"The development of child psychiatry, adolescent psychiatry and easier access to psychological and psychiatric care are the priorities of Minister Izabela Leszczyna, who met with national consultants: child psychiatry and psychiatry, as well as representatives of the community," reads the Health Ministry's entry on the X portal.
Izabela Leszczyna stresses that when it comes to improving the situation in child and adolescent psychiatry, inter-ministerial cooperation with the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Family, Labor and Social Policy is crucial.
"A pilot of Mental Health Centers is also underway, which should give support and care close to where we live as soon as possible. Community psychiatry is the future," the ministry wrote on social media.
Prof. Piotr Galecki gives a positive assessment of the meeting. As he stresses, the conversation was pleasant, but also substantive, so it was also long, as it lasted nearly three hours.
