The first workshop, to be held on June 15 at Wilson Square in Warsaw from 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., will deal with difficult emotions accompanying illness. Illness affects the existing lifestyle, threatens professed values, the fulfillment of social roles, as well as one's concept of the world and one's own identity. It disturbs the balance between the tasks previously performed and the current possibilities of a person.
"At the workshop, we will focus on naming difficult emotions and techniques for dealing with the tension that accompanies symptoms of the disease," the organizers announced.
The LIVE workshop will be conducted based on cognitive-behavioral therapy techniques. The workshop aims to expand the participants' knowledge of emotions and learn about their function in our lives. Each participant will receive tools to use immediately after the workshop.
The workshop will be led by Monika Zientek, psychologist and psychotherapist, and Aleksandra Dryzner, psycho-oncologist.
Registration is conducted by email: [email protected].
Until October, 8 meetings have been scheduled as part of the "We Live" project.
