X Public Health Congress

Day one of the Congress will begin with a welcome from Prof. Zbigniew Gaciong, rector of Warsaw Medical University, and Prof. Mariusz Gujski, head of the Department of Public Health. This will be followed by a special address by Dr. Beata Małecka-Libera, chairwoman of the Senate Health Committee, presenting a vision for the future of public health in Poland.

An important highlight of the program will be a panel discussion on the state's public health policy for the next four years, with the participation of experts such as Dr. Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz, president of the Polish People's Party, Dr. Tomasz Latos of Law and Justice, Izabela Leszczyna, MP of the Republic of Poland, Prof. Jarosław Pinkas, national consultant for public health, and Dr. Marek Rutka of the University of Gdansk.

The congress will also address key topics such as the National Health Transformation Plan, rare diseases as a growing social problem, and the impact of demographic changes on the mental health of Poles. These panels will feature well-known experts, including Prof. Leszek Czupryniak, head of the Department of Diabetology and Internal Diseases at the Warsaw Medical University,
Dr. Jerzy Gryglewicz of the Institute of Healthcare Management at Lazarski University, prof. Artur Mamcarz, head of the Department of Internal Medicine and Cardiology at Warsaw Medical University, MP Rajmund Miller, Dr. Andrzej Silczuk, head of the Department of Environmental Psychiatry at Warsaw Medical University, Prof. Bolesław Samoliński, head of the Department of Public and Environmental Health at Warsaw Medical University, and Bernard Waśko, director of the National Institute of Public Health-PZH.

Day two will begin with a special address by Dr. Nino Berdzula, director of the World Health Organization Office in Poland. There will be discussions on cooperation between medical professions, environmental hazards and diseases of civilization, with the participation of such figures as Prof. Robert Galązkowski, director of the Air Ambulance Service, Dr. Lukasz Jankowski, president of the Supreme Medical Council, Mariola Lodzinska, president of the Supreme Council of Nurses and Midwives, Elżbieta Piotrowska-Rutkowska, president of the Supreme Pharmaceutical Council, Renata Kaznowska, deputy mayor of the City of Warsaw, and many others.

The Congress will also host an awards ceremony to mark the 10th anniversary of the Public Health Congress. To whom will the Chapter of the Public Health Congress present awards for lifetime professional achievements for change in health care?
