Patients' voice in health discussion. As every year, the occasion for patients to come together is World Day of the Sick, celebrated on February 11, which is an opportunity to express respect and appreciation to health care workers, volunteers, family members, organizations and all those who selflessly devote themselves to the welfare of the sick. On this occasion, on the initiative of the Institute for Patients' Rights and Health Education, the "Patients' Organization Forum" has been held since 2007, with more than 150 patient organization leaders representing the voice of several hundred thousand patients from all over Poland and several hundred people participating in the online event. The Forum provides an important and effective platform for dialogue and exchange of experiences between organizations working in different areas of health and fosters discussion of systemic solutions to improve the quality of life of patients.
Held during the Forum, the annual meeting with the participation of those shaping the country's health policy, including the Minister of Health, the President of the National Health Fund, the Patient Ombudsman, and experts in the field of public health, provides a platform for the integration of patients and allows the leaders of individual organizations to highlight the biggest problems they face in their daily activities. This is the largest and oldest conference of its kind aimed at leaders of patient organizations representing patients in various therapeutic areas.
Participation in the Forum in online form is available to all who wish to attend.
