The grand opening of the modernized Department of General, Functional and Oncological Urology at WIM-PIB took place last Thursday. The total cost of the renovation was more than 27 million zlotys.

- The clinic carries out a high contract with the National Health Service in the amount of about 17 million zlotys, hospitalizes about 1.7 thousand patients annually, and carries out projects mainly from the oncology package and lump sum. The clinic is on 24-hour urological duty and is an integral part of the Mazovian trauma center," stressed the head of the Department of General, Functional and Oncological Urology, Col. Tomasz Syrylo, MD.
- The cost of the entire investment amounted to more than 27 million zlotys. Such a huge undertaking would not have been possible without the financial support of the Ministry of Defense and the Orlen company, thanks to which the staff can work in wonderful conditions using very modern tools," said Director Lieutenant General Prof. Grzegorz Gielerak in his speech.
- I believe that the Department of General, Functional and Oncological Urology will develop as beautifully as it is developing, and I will be very happy, together with my colleagues, to fund your activities. My sincere congratulations," said National Health Fund President Filip Nowak.
The ceremony ended with a lecture entitled "Urology on Szaserów yesterday, today and tomorrow", delivered by Col. Tomasz Syrylo.
