On the occasion of the holiday, the pharmacists were wished by, among others, colleagues from the medical council.
"Your support and expertise are part of the modern model of patient treatment. On this day, I wish you that such thinking of modern pharmacists dominates both in media coverage and social understanding of the role of your valuable profession, and that technological developments help you to help patients every day. Much strength!", wished them by NIL President Luke Jankowski.
"They dispense medications and advise patients on how to avoid polypragmasy. They provide flu, COVID-19 and pneumococcal vaccinations. They willingly engage in educational campaigns, such as jointly with the National Health Service. Dear Pharmacists, thank you," the National Health Fund wrote on its profile on the X portal.
National Apothecary Day is celebrated on the day of the liturgical commemoration of Saints Cosmas and Damian. The saints of the Catholic and Orthodox Church were born in the third century. They were physicians who did not charge fees for their work. They took special care especially of the poorest.
