"An orthopedist can admit a given patient 3 times, but he can also admit 15, because we physicians also like money," these words by Deputy Health Minister Jerzy Szafranowicz during a meeting of the Parliamentary Health Committee caused a stir at the Supreme Medical Council. President Lukasz Jankowski asks whether this is the official position of the ministry.

In a letter to Minister Izabela Leszczyna, the president of the NRL stresses that there are currently no disciplinary proceedings pending with the Chamber's professional responsibility bodies on notice from the Health Ministry regarding the deliberate multiplication of the number of visits by doctors without medical indications.
"The Supreme Chamber of Physicians points out that government officials have a special responsibility for the content they utter, and it cannot be a mere emanation of the individual experiences of these people." - reads the NIL website.
