At the beginning of the year, changes facilitating the work of physiotherapists, included in the regulation of the President of the National Health Fund, came into force. Among other things, it was introduced the possibility for the physiotherapist to complete the missing data on the referral during the physiotherapeutic visit, as well as to settle the massage treatments as part of a man-day.

In turn, in the case of settlement of medical rehabilitation services at home, it became possible to simultaneously settle care and long-term care benefits under separate contracts.

"We particularly appreciated the acceptance of the position of the National Council of Physiotherapists and the abandonment of changes that would have a negative impact on the functioning of rehabilitation provided at home. Thanks to the activities of the KRF Presidium, no change was introduced according to which service providers providing home services under outpatient physiotherapy contracts would have to meet the requirements set out for home physiotherapy”, we read on the KRF website.

The Council also positively evaluates the resignation from introducing the possibility of settling only those benefits at home that were provided at the place of stay of the beneficiary in the province where the competition procedure preceding the conclusion of the contract was held. According to the KRF, the introduction of these changes could result in a radical limitation of patients' access to physiotherapy.
