MZ: Earnings of trainee doctors from 1 July

According to the announcement:

1) until June 30, 2022, the basic monthly salary for a trainee doctor and a trainee dentist is PLN 4,186;

2) from 1 July 2022, the basic monthly salary for a trainee doctor and a trainee dentist is PLN 5,379.

Pursuant to Art. 15i paragraph. 4 of the Act of December 5, 1996 on the professions of doctor and dentist (Journal of Laws of 2021, item 790, as amended), the minister responsible for health shall announce by March 30 of each year in the Information Bulletin For the public, the amount of the basic monthly salary for trainee doctors and dentists, determined on the basis of the Act of 8 June 2017 on the method of determining the minimum basic salary of employees working in medical professions employed in healthcare entities (Journal of Laws of 2021, item 1801 and of 2022, item 1352). This draft announcement is an implementation of the above-mentioned statutory authorization, and at the same time a necessary update of the announcement of the Minister of Health of March 30, 2022 on the amount of the basic monthly salary of a trainee doctor and a trainee dentist, being a consequence of the Act of May 26, 2022 on amending the act on the method of determining the lowest basic salary medical professionals employed in healthcare entities and some other acts (Journal of Laws, item 1352).

In accordance with the provisions of the Act of June 8, 2017 on the method of determining the minimum base salary of employees working in medical professions employed in healthcare entities from July 1, 2022, the remuneration of doctors and dentists during postgraduate internship should be increased to 5,379 PLN, i.e. to the amount corresponding to the product of the work coefficient for a trainee doctor or a trainee dentist, amounting to 0.95, and the amount of the average gross monthly remuneration in the national economy in 2021 in the amount of PLN 5,662.53 announced in the Announcement of the President of the Central Statistical Office of 9 February 2022 on the average wage in the national economy in 2021 (M.P. item 175).
