The Supreme Council of Nurses and Midwives asked all voivodes to enforce the correct interpretation of the provisions of the Act on the method of determining the minimum basic salary on their subordinate healthcare entities. The point is to cover nurses of the system who have the title of specialist in a statutory field of nursing with the work rate in accordance with the amendment to the Act.

The case is related to the signals about irregularities coming to the office of the Supreme Chamber of Nurses and Midwives. NIPiP is contacted by members of the self-government, according to which the managers of medical entities providing health services in emergency medical teams interpret the provisions of the Act unfavorably, qualifying nurses of the system to group 6, regardless of their qualifications, i.e. as a nurse with secondary education who does not have the title of specialist.

"A nurse with a specialization in the fields of nursing required by law and who has been employed in PRM units becomes a nurse of the system and, in accordance with the provisions of the Act, when determining the remuneration factor, she should be qualified to group 5, i.e. in accordance with the qualifications for the required position - with a specialization in in the field of nursing or to group 2, if he has a master's degree in nursing and a specialist's title, "we read in the letter sent to voivodes.

The Supreme Council of Nurses and Midwives asks the governors to intervene. The letter was sent to the Minister of Health, Adam Niedzielski.
