The new ministerial team will estimate the need for medical staff

In order to take actions enabling the optimal use and development of the potential of the medical staff, the Ministry of Health appoints a Team for modeling and forecasting the demand for medical staff.

Piotr Bromber, Undersecretary of State in the Ministry of Health, will supervise the work of the Team.

Who is in the Team?

1) Chairman - Monika Domarecka, MD, PhD, director of the Central Teaching Hospital of the Medical University of Lodz;

2) Deputy Chairman - Małgorzata Zadorozna, Director of the Department of Medical Personnel Development at the Ministry of Health;

3) Deputy Chairman - Agata Śmiglewska, Director of the Department of Analyzes and Strategy at the Ministry of Health;

4) members:

a) Edyta Gadomska, Deputy Director of the Department of Medical Staff Development at the Ministry of Health,

b) Milena Kozioł-Rostkowska, Deputy Director of the Department of Analyzes and Strategy at the Ministry of Health,

c) representative of the Department of Analyzes and Strategies in the Ministry of Health,

d) a representative of the Central Statistical Office,

e) a representative of the National Health Fund,

f) a representative of the Social Insurance Institution,

g) representative of the Conference of Rectors of Academic Medical Universities.

The task of the Team is to present recommendations on the methodology of estimating the demand for representatives of particular medical professions, including doctors, dentists, nurses, midwives and paramedics.

Recommendations also include:

1) methods of rational use of medical staff resources, taking into account demographic and epidemiological factors;

2) a long-term perspective for the development of individual professional groups, with an indication of priorities in the field of postgraduate education, with particular emphasis on specialization.
