According to a position paper published in connection with the annual meeting of representatives of medical self-government bodies from the Central and Eastern European region, health care systems should provide health care workers with adequate and safe working conditions and an appropriate level of safety.

"The no fault system in healthcare is an effective tool to protect both professionals and patients. Its implementation contributes to a higher number of reported critical incidents and medical errors, allowing lessons to be learned and similar incidents to be avoided in the future, thereby improving patient safety. The no fault system also allows for faster and less complicated remediation," the statement reads.
