"There was and there is neither my consent nor the consent of the government to keep any pregnancy registry," Health Minister Adam Niedzielski wrote on Twitter. It is a reaction to the information appearing in the media regarding the extension of the scope of information reported in the electronic Patient Card.

The scope of data that has been reported in the Medical Information System since October includes information on a medical entity, allergies, implants, blood group and hospitalization. It is also information about pregnancy. The information is expanded as a result of the regulation signed in June, compliant with the medical reporting standard recommended by the European Commission.

“We ask all media to be responsible for their word. Today, no pregnancy registry comes into force. It has never been, is not and will never be. Due to the requirements at the European Commission level, for the benefit of patients and patients, we are only developing the electronic Patient Card ", the Ministry of Health wrote on Twitter.

“We act here in the interests of patients and for their good, in line with EU standards. I appeal to the media and politicians not to sow unnecessary emotions, "added Minister Adam Niedzielski on social media.
