The draft regulation modifies the requirements to be met by program implementers and adjusts it to the current national public health requirements. One of the most important elements of the introduced changes is the extension of the scope of the program implementation with specialist care in the field of assistance in the total reduction of the use of electronic cigarettes and innovative tobacco products.
Draft regulation:
1) enables multiple treatment of nicotine addiction;
2) it enables therapy (individual and group) to be conducted by a psychologist with a certificate of tobacco dependence treatment;
3) enables the continuation of participation in the program despite the diagnosis of additional other diseases;
4) provides psychological support (individual or group) available to all patients, including those qualified for pharmacotherapy.
