Polish citizens can already purchase medicines for cross-border e-prescription in: Croatia, Finland, Estonia, the Czech Republic, Greece, Portugal and Spain (for now, this applies to pharmacies in Madrid, the Canary Islands, the Basque Country, Catalonia, Extremadura, Aragon, Castilla y León, Andalusia, Castilla-La Mancha, Galicia, Navarre, Ceuta and Melilla, the Valencian Community and Cantabria). As CeZ assures, such a possibility will gradually be introduced by the remaining countries.

Citizens of the same countries can fill a cross-border prescription electronically in Poland.

Cross-border e-prescription is the term for any electronic prescription that can be filled in a country other than the one in which it was issued. The e-prescription, available on IKP or in the myIKP app, will not visually change. It will become a cross-border e-prescription when it is filled in another country.

In order for a foreign patient to process a cross-border e-prescription in Poland, it is necessary for the patient to give his/her consent in the Internet Patient Account. Before a foreign patient can process a cross-border e-prescription in Poland, it is necessary to allow the patient to read the Patient Information.
