Free vaccination against COVID-19: enrollment starting September 15
Published Sept. 10, 2025 07:11
The Ministry of Health has announced that since September 9, e-referrals for COVID-19 vaccinations have been systematically issued and made available in the Internet Patient Account (IKP).
Enrollment for vaccination will be possible from September 15, 2025, on the dates provided by the vaccination centers. Vaccination implementation will begin on September 22. This season, the Spikevax LP.8.1 vaccine is available in age-appropriate doses.
Patients can sign up:
- via IKP, if the vaccination center has made the appointments available in e-Registration,
- directly at the selected vaccination center.
In the absence of an automatically issued e-referral, the doctor at the vaccination center can issue it himself, taking into account the patient's age and the interval since the last dose.
Vaccination will be performed at primary health care clinics and public pharmacies that have signed a contract with the National Health Service. The Health Ministry specifically recommends vaccination:
- seniors,
- for chronically ill people,
- immunocompromised patients,
- pregnant women,
- Residents of long-term care facilities and their caregivers,
- health care workers.
The Health Ministry reminds that the COVID-19 vaccine can be administered concurrently with the flu vaccine, and before or after other vaccinations, including those recommended for pregnant women. This arrangement strengthens protection against seasonal infections, which are particularly dangerous for those at risk.
