- From today in the #MojeIKP application a new functionality supporting first aid. Step by step. It is enough to install the new version - said Minister of Health Adam Niedzielski on Twitter.
The application is designed to guide you through the first aid activities step by step.
"If you have an injured person in front of you and you want to get help quickly, just keep taking the next steps. Indicate the condition of the victim (whether he is conscious or breathing) and do what the application recommends. You will learn step by step how to open the airways, arrange someone in the so-called a safe position (in which he can breathe without choking), perform CPR (cardiopulmonary resuscitation, i.e. heart massage and artificial respiration) - for both a child and an adult, ”reads the website of the Ministry of Health and the National Health Fund.
The "rhythm of heart massage" sound file, which can be played in the application, may be helpful in carrying out the rescue actions. My IKP will also help you find the nearest AED and perform rescue with it.
The application is available free of charge in the following stores: Google Play and AppStore. The Ministry of Health reminds that providing first aid to the injured person is not only a humanitarian act, but also a legal obligation. The human brain starts dying after 4 minutes without oxygen.
