- We should be independent in the production of medicines in Europe - said the Minister of Health, Adam Niedzielski in Washington. The head of the ministry took part in the Biotechnology as an engine of innovation - Polish-American cooperation conference, organized by the Kulski Foundation for Polish-American relations.

As the foundation informs, the conference participants discussed the transnational methods of supporting the development of science and the possibilities it offers in biotechnology. The debates taking place during the conference were an opportunity to exchange experiences and good practices, present state instruments supporting the health care sector and strengthen the scientific partnership between Poland and the United States.
- We should be independent in the production of drugs in Europe, thus becoming independent from production in India or China. The war in Ukraine has shown that this is a key challenge. We should tighten our cooperation with the USA - said Adam Niedzielski in his speech.
The minister of education and science, Przemysław Czarnek, who joins Poland, said that Poland has ambitions to become a European leader in the field of biotechnology, and that research in this field conducted in our country may prove to be a driving force behind Polish innovation.
