A total of about 4 million of these vaccines are to be delivered to Poland. As emphasized by the head of the Ministry of Health, the amount of proper supply is always unknown. However, the government cannot afford to run out of preparations.
- Always orders with some reserve. The third dose was vaccinated by nearly 12 million people and the potential for the next dose was estimated on the basis of this number. We will do everything to increase the interest in vaccinations - said Adam Niedzielski.
An information campaign is due to start next week to raise awareness of additional vaccinations and to clarify any doubts that may arise. However, the minister admitted that the development of the pandemic was heading towards the same situation as we are seeing with the influenza virus.
- There is a group of people who get vaccinated regularly before the flu season. I think that we are reaching a situation where the next vaccination will be an expression of a certain health awareness. The course of the disease will be less and less painful, but there is always a risk of complications. It is better to protect yourself than to play roulette - added the head of the ministry.
As he added, there are no indications that the obligation to wear masks in public places or any other additional restrictions will return due to the fall wave of infections.
