- Minimum wages in health care have been rising since July 1. In each group, this means an increase of an average of 12 percent. According to the Central Statistical Office, compared to other sectors of the economy in Poland, salaries in health care are growing the fastest, the health minister said at a conference in Kozienice on Monday.
At the same time, Adam Niedzielski said that more than PLN 15 billion will be additionally transferred to health care facilities. The amount consists of compensation for the increase in minimum salaries (PLN 6.91 billion), an increase in other salaries and covering inflation (PLN 7.48 billion) and an increase in valuations in the most basic scopes - internal medicine, general surgery and obstetrics (PLN 660 million).
- We will distribute a new lump sum to hospital facilities. A total of an additional PLN 3.14 billion will go to hospitals from this in 2023. We need to sign about 35,000 annexes that increase the value of contracts with the National Health Fund, and this is already happening. Seventy-five percent of the annexes are already signed by both parties," the Health Minister stressed.
- More than 95 percent of medical facilities that will receive new funding are guaranteed more than just a minimum wage increase. Approximately 4 percent of hospitals facing problems can benefit from NFZ assistance. Together we will look for a solution," added NFZ President Filip Nowak.
