Bayer with new head of Consumer Health division in Central and Eastern Europe

The Consumer Health team is responsible for the market positioning and development of such well-known over-the-counter (OTC) drug brands as Aspirin, Bepanthen, Canesten, Claritine, Iberogast and many others. Christian Sarto has replaced Jens Becker, who is responsible for strategic projects at the company's Leverkusen headquarters.
Sarto has been with Bayer for 17 years. Since 2018, he has served as head of the Consumer Health division in Spain and Portugal. Prior to that, he held management positions at Bayer and its subsidiaries in Germany and the US.

Sarto is Italian and 53 years old. He graduated from the University of Bayreuth in Germany with a degree in economics. He is fluent in German, English and Italian. He is a sports fan and his favorite sports are basketball, golf, ice hockey and boxing. He resides in Warsaw, where he moved to from Barcelona.
