The National Council of Laboratory Diagnosticians takes the position that the performance of laboratory medicine activities in the form of genetic testing by individuals who are members of the laboratory diagnosticians' self-government strengthens supervision of the field of genetic testing. Ensuring that genetic testing is performed in this way should be a goal of the state and the laboratory diagnosticians' self-government.
The National Council of Laboratory Diagnosticians considers as unacceptable and ethically irresponsible the conduct of attributing to representatives of the laboratory diagnosticians' self-government positions that have never been expressed, or distorting and misrepresenting the meaning of public statements by representatives of the laboratory diagnosticians' self-government in order to conduct an unreliable polemic.
