Vision Group, a public affairs consulting firm, has gained a new partner and shareholder. Jarek Oleszczuk joined the company's team in August/September 2023 and, in his role as Head of International Development, will be responsible for developing services in foreign markets and overseeing the implementation of international projects.

Jarek Oleszczuk is an investor, manager and entrepreneur with international experience. He started his career at McKinsey & Company in the Warsaw and Chicago offices. As Senior Engagement Manager, he advised the boards of pharmaceutical, medical device and biotechnology companies in Europe and the United States.

From 2007 to 2009, Jarek Oleszczuk was CEO of Novartis in the Baltic region, and from 2009 to 2014 he managed Abbott Poland. He then successfully led Abbvie's spin-off in Poland and managed Abbvie's operations in the BeNeLux region in Brussels. Since 2016 - as CEO - he was responsible for managing AstraZeneca's business in Poland, where he led the establishment of a regional R&D center serving more than 50 countries. For nearly 10 years, he served as a board member of pharmaceutical industry associations in Poland and Belgium.

Jarek Oleszczuk has been an entrepreneur and investor since 2020. He co-founded the biotech company exploRNA, a leading player in the mRNA technology sector, which was later acquired by a VC fund. He also serves as an advisor to the boards of pharmaceutical, medical device and digital health companies in Europe and the United States. A medical doctor by training, he has authored or co-authored more than 100 publications in peer-reviewed medical journals.

These are not the only changes in the Vision Group team. At the end of August, Natalia Miller, who served as managing partner and Head of Corporate Affairs, parted ways with the company. Her duties were taken over by Malgorzata Bogusz - along with Jaroslaw Nyk, co-founders of Vision Group, who had already held the position of managing partner at the company.
