CSO: Ambulatory health care in 2023

Figures from the Central Statistical Office show that the number of specialized medical consultations in 2023 increased by 8 percent compared to 2022.
At the end of 2023, there were 23,500 outpatient clinics and 3,200 medical and dental practices providing services under public funds. The largest number of outpatient clinics was in the Mazowieckie Voivodeship (3,570), and the smallest in the Opolskie Voivodeship (579). The largest number of practices providing health services financed by public funds was in the Greater Poland Voivodeship (369), and the smallest in the Lubuskie Voivodeship (116).
Outpatient advice
In 2023, outpatient clinics and practices provided 347.3 million outpatient health care tips - 312.3 million medical (up 4.9% year-on-year) and 34.9 million dental (up 5.3% year-on-year). There were 181.1 million tips1 in primary care (up 2.8% year-on-year in 2022), and 131.2 million in specialized medical care (up 8.0% year-on-year).
What about the teleportation?
17.1 million medical consultations in primary care (down 27.2% year-on-year) and 9.7 million in specialty care (down 8.5% year-on-year). In remote dental care, 55.0 thousand pieces of advice were provided.
