CSO: The number of specialized medical consultations is increasing

Figures from the Central Statistical Office show that the number of specialized medical consultations in 2022 increased by 6 percent compared to 2021.
At the end of 2022, 26.1 thousand outpatient health care entities - 22.6 thousand clinics, as well as 0.6 thousand medical practices and 2.8 thousand dental practices - were operating. The largest number of outpatient clinics was in the Mazowieckie Voivodeship (3,412), and the smallest in the Opolskie Voivodeship (551). The largest number of practices providing publicly financed health care services was in the Greater Poland province (418), and the smallest in the Lesser Poland province (123).
Outpatient advice
In 2022, outpatient clinics and practices provided 330.8 million tips in outpatient health care - 297.6 million medical (up 4.1% year-on-year) and 33.2 million dental (up 7.9% year-on-year). There were 176.1 million tips in primary care (up 2.8% year-on-year in 2021), and 121.5 million in specialized medical care (up 6.0% year-on-year).
What about the teleportation?
23.5 million medical consultations in primary care (a year-on-year decrease of 51.6%) were carried out via teleportation, and 10.6 million in AOS (a year-on-year decrease of 27.2%). On the other hand, 43.3 thousand pieces of advice were provided remotely in dental care.
