The Draft Regulation of the Minister of Health amending the Regulation on guaranteed services in the field of hospital treatment has been submitted for consultation.
Hospitals: 3 new guaranteed benefits

The purpose of the proposed regulation is to increase the availability of new cardiac guaranteed services, which have not previously been available to patients as part of hospital treatment, and which have a significant impact on the quality of life and health status of patients with cardiovascular diseases.
The introduction of provisions on three new guaranteed benefits to the Regulation of the Minister of Health of November 22, 2013 on guaranteed benefits in the field of hospital treatment was based on the process of qualifying healthcare services as guaranteed benefits and implements proposed solutions contained in the recommendations of the President of the Agency for Health Technology Assessment and Tarification. The changes are aimed at providing access to new benefits in the field of cardiology, viz:
1) Transcatheter implantation of an electrodeless single-chamber pacing system;
2) Transcatheter repair of tricuspid regurgitation using the edge-to-edge method with a clip;
3) Monitoring arrhythmic events using implantable event recorders (ILRs): in patients after cryptogenic stroke and after recurrent loss of consciousness, the cause of which could not be determined despite extended diagnostics.
The introduction of the aforementioned benefits is the implementation of three recommendations of the President of the Agency for Health Technology Assessment
and Tarification.
The expected effect of introducing the benefits in question is to extend life and improve its quality of life in the expected population.
