There were 48 cartons of medicines in the shipment sent from China. The sender declared that they contain magnesium stearate for the production of animal supplements.
"The inspected parcels contained nearly 180,000 pcs of potency pills, unregistered in the EU and Poland. They were to be delivered to a recipient from Warsaw. The number of pills seized indicates that they were intended for sale,” reads the statement of the Ministry of Finance.
Proceedings in this case are being conducted by policemen from the Warsaw-Okęcie Airport Police Station under the supervision of the Warsaw-Ochota District Prosecutor's Office. Let us remind you that trading in drugs and pharmaceutical substances without the required permits is prohibited. Persons placing medicinal products on the market without authorization are liable to a fine, restriction of liberty or imprisonment for up to 2 years.
