Izabela Leszczyna will meet with Maciej Miłkowski. They will discuss the issue of vaccines

- Epidemic safety is the key word today. In a moment I'll meet with the deputy minister who oversaw drug policy. We'll talk about the epidemic situation: what the vaccine issue is, whether there's a shortage, whether it's where it's needed, and what to do so that anyone who wants to get vaccinated against the latest variant of coronavirus can do so," the health minister said.

One of the first decisions is expected to be to meet with the national consultant for infectious diseases and set up a team to monitor the epidemic situation.

- He will give us the information we need so that we all know where we are, whether we have anything to fear and how to behave," she announced.

All deputy health ministers have resigned, the health ministry head has announced. However, Maciej Miłkowski will meet with Izabela Leszczyna and discuss the aforementioned issues with her. The new minister will also see the president of the National Health Fund, Filip Nowak, and the president of the Supreme Medical Council, Lukasz Jankowski.

She pointed to the fight against health debt as one of the most important tasks to be accomplished. She also declared a patient-centered approach and good cooperation with the medical profession.

- I firmly believe that all medical professions, that is, all those who care about the well-being of Polish women and men think exactly the same as I do. The one who comes to see a doctor, no matter whether it's POZ or specialized care or a hospital, is not a provider, but first and foremost a patient," said Izabela Leszczyna.

- All decisions that will come out of this ministry will serve patients, as well as the good organization of the work of all medical professions," she added.
