"In two days, 283 doctors tried to exceed the limit of 300 prescriptions for more than 80 patients in just 10 hours of their work," Health Minister Adam Niedzielski tweeted. As he added, most of them were employees of so-called prescribers. The record holder wanted to issue 60,000 prescriptions in two days.

As a reminder, at the end of June, Health Minister Adam Niedzielski announced the introduction of a limit of 300 prescriptions for a maximum of 80 patients within 10 hours of a doctor's work. This is in response to a problem with the operation of so-called prescribing machines, through which one can obtain a prescription for a drug only after filling out a form and paying for the service.

The restriction has been in effect since Monday (5.07.). It turns out that during this time nearly 300 doctors tried to exceed the imposed limits. As the Health Minister pointed out in a Twitter post, most of these doctors are associated with "prescribers."

Previously, however, the medical community has pointed out that the limits are too exorbitant and will be easily exceeded, even during normal work in clinics and on-call.

- What the minister is introducing is a limitation on a doctor's work time of 10 hours to write 300 prescriptions for 80 patients. The essential question to ask is: is this a limitation on a doctor's working hours? What about on-call 24-hour night and holiday medical care? In summer resorts, up to 200 patients pass through on such duty. We urge that the problem be solved systemically," Klaudiusz Komor, vice president of the Supreme Medical Council, pointed out at Friday's press conference.
