Summary: First year of e-referral in Poland
Published Jan. 12, 2022 09:08
Medical workers have already issued nearly 50 million e-referrals for research and consultations for over 17 million patients (excluding e-referrals exposed to vaccination against COVID-19). From the end of 2021, e-referrals are also issued for therapeutic rehabilitation.
The first year of e-referral showed that it was well received by patients and doctors. By the end of 2021, almost 50 million electronic referrals, excluding e-referrals issued for vaccination against COVID-19, were issued to over 17 million patients. In May last year, we launched the my IKP mobile application. It gives constant and quick access to e-referrals in the smartphone, thanks to which patients can use them even more conveniently. When planning new products, we try to make them complementary to the already implemented IT solutions and, at the same time, to provide a platform for launching new ones. A good example, in addition to e-referral or e-prescription, is also the EU COVID Certificate, to which my IKP applications and the Internet Patient Account also provide quick access. This shows CeZ's comprehensive approach to the development of the e-health system and reflects our mission in which the patient is the most important element of the ecosystem, ”says Jarosław Kieszek, director of the e-Health Center.
