The purpose of the pilot program in the field of monitoring children and adolescents with primary and secondary immunodeficiencies, hereinafter referred to as the "pilot program", is to assess the suitability of using an innovative multi-functional tool for remote monitoring of the health of children and adolescents with primary and secondary immunodeficiencies, including after infection with SARS-CoV-2 virus, as part of primary health care and outpatient specialist care.
The pilot program will be implemented in three stages, which will include: the organization stage (during which the minister responsible for health will purchase the devices, conduct a promotional campaign regarding their use and sign contracts with the implementers of the pilot program), the implementation stage ( during which selected implementers of the pilot program will perform healthcare services using the devices provided under the program) and the stage of evaluation of the pilot program (which will include the evaluation of activities covered by the pilot program).
The pilot program provides for the implementation of health care services performed with the use of multifunctional devices in the field of primary health care and outpatient specialist care.
Healthcare entities implementing the program will receive innovative multifunctional devices from the minister of health, which they will then make available to beneficiaries. As part of the evaluation of the pilot program, both the impact of the implementation of healthcare services using a multifunctional device for initial diagnostics and the satisfaction of beneficiaries with the conducted research will be assessed on the basis of surveys completed by beneficiaries and implementers of the pilot program, posted on the DOM platform. The implementation of this program will require the implementation of additional functionalities within the DOM platform enabling the implementation of the pilot program.
Implementers of the pilot program will be selected in the recruitment conducted by the Minister of Health. Taking into account the open nature of the recruitment and the coverage of at least 1,200 beneficiaries by the program, it is possible to select applications from the entire territory of the country, taking into account factors such as the date of receipt of the application and the declaration of the estimated number of beneficiaries reported by the provider to participate in the program. The adopted minimum number of beneficiaries covered by the pilot program is dictated by, inter alia, the planned purchase of 600 devices intended for the implementation of the pilot program.
The beneficiary will be monitored using an innovative multifunctional device for a period of three months, at the same time, in accordance with the program assumptions, one full checkup is recommended once a month in order to enable effective diagnostics. It will be up to the attending physician to increase the number of tests performed and the selection of tests for the set of tests. However, in the event of a deterioration in health, after launching the mobile application to the DOM platform and providing information on the symptoms that cause anxiety, the beneficiary receives the recommended scope of tests to be performed at home. The device prompts the test sequence and indicates whether the measurement is being carried out correctly. Then the test results are sent to the doctor for diagnosis.
