So far, five medical specialists in the field of hematology worked in the department of internal medicine and oncology. The patients were also admitted to the hematology clinic, which was opened in July last year.
- Patients know very well how difficult it is to get to the clinic or hospital. I keep my fingers crossed for the next units that could create hematological centers. There is room for all of us, because the needs in this area, unfortunately, are enormous. Soon we will apply for residency in order to be able to educate new specialists in this scarce field in the new branch - announces - Małgorzata Usielska, director of SPWSZ.
The ward has 15 beds for a stationary stay and six beds for admissions in the day stay mode.
- The branch is not big yet, but I hope it will continue to grow. The next step for us will be to gain access to the most modern drugs and therapies. We look forward to drug programs. The direction of our activity will largely depend on them - says the drug. Katarzyna Żybul, head of the hematology department at the Provincial Hospital.
The hematology department of the Independent Public Provincial Complex Hospital is the third such center in the West Pomeranian Province.
