The subsidy to support pupils with special needs will increase by one-fifth

- We have additionally employed over a dozen thousand specialists in pedagogy, speech therapists, but also especially child psychologists. We employ them in larger facilities, larger school and kindergarten units or school complexes so that the availability of specialist assistance on site is as quick as possible, stressed Mateusz Morawiecki.
Since March this year, primary and secondary schools have been conducting classes in the field of psychological and pedagogical assistance in an additional number of hours. In 2022, money was provided to organize 3 million hours of such classes.
- We have nearly 30 percent. children and young people who need some kind of support. These are children, these are young people, towards whom we must have as much affection, compassion and empathy as possible. And we must also construct the system properly, said the Prime Minister.
In 2023, the educational subsidy to support students with special educational needs is to increase, which includes, among others, blind, autistic and Asperger's students. Next year, the subsidy is to amount to PLN 13.4 billion, which is an increase of over 21%. compared to this year.
