It was the FPP, immediately after the Sejm's decision rejecting the Senate's veto (December 15), that it applied to other organizations for a common position and a joint appeal to the president.

The document was signed by 26 organizations of employees, employers and patients. They want a referral for reconsideration of the amendment to the act on the profession of doctor and dentist and some other acts. - The act submitted to the President contains a number of solutions leading to a permanent reduction of public financing of health care services - emphasize the signatories of the appeal.

The amendment to the act on the profession of doctor and dentist and some other acts contains provisions that transfer the financing of a number of health services (including preventive vaccinations, medical rescue and highly specialized procedures, as well as medicines for seniors and pregnant women) from the state budget to the National Health Fund . It also suspends the transfer of health contributions by the budget for persons who do not pay them for other reasons (e.g. for uniformed personnel) and provides for a one-off payment from the reserve fund of the National Health Fund (i.e. health contributions) to the COVID-19 Prevention Fund with an amount of up to PLN 5.5 billion zloty. In total, this means a loss of about PLN 13 billion only in 2023, although the Ministry of Health assures that health care will not lose, because the level of financing is guaranteed by the act of 7 percent. GDP for health. However, its guarantees are worth little, as shown by the OECD and European Commission report published in early December, according to which in 2020 Poland with public spending on health below 5% it ranked at the absolute end of the EU countries.

- In view of the health debt related to the COVID-19 epidemic, the need to ensure appropriate working conditions for employees of the health care sector and the importance of the stable operation of centers providing care for patients, we consider the said regulation to be a direct threat to the health care system. others National Health Protection Secretariat of NSZZ Solidarność, self-governments of medical professions, trade unions and numerous patient organizations.
