There should be an interval of at least 4 months after the first booster dose before the second booster dose.
Vaccinations should primarily involve healthcare professionals who have direct contact with patients and infectious material, or who are exposed to SARS-COV-2 infection.
Medical workers in animal treatment facilities are also vaccinated.
Only mRNA vaccines are used in the second booster:
- Comirnates (Pfizer-BioNTech) in full dose (30 µg - 0.3 ml)
- Spikevax (Moderna) half dose (50 µg - 0.25 ml).
For the second booster dose, the same Comirnata (Pfizer-BioNTech) or Spikevax (Moderna) mRNA preparation that was delivered with the first booster dose is recommended.
Additional information:
- at the stage of entering data into the vaccination card, it is absolutely necessary to follow the procedure for referrals issued for a booster dose,
- before administering the next dose of the vaccine (2/booster), the patient's current vaccination status must be absolutely confirmed,
- Regardless of the preparation used for the first booster vaccination, a dose of mRNA vaccine (Comirnaty or Spikevax) should be administered at least 4 months after the last vaccination,
- serological tests to assess the response to current vaccination are not recommended,
- referral for vaccination with the fulfillment of the qualification criterion with an interval (minimum 120 days) for the second mRNA booster dose will be issued automatically by the system,
- in the absence of an automatically issued e-referral for a second booster dose, the doctor at the vaccination point may independently issue an e-referral for vaccination to persons eligible for vaccination, assessing: the interval from the last vaccination (minimum 120 days), belonging to the risk group (professional activities performed) ).
