“Today, the EMA is to make a decision on recommending vaccinations for children aged 6 months to 5 years. These will be quantitatively and qualitatively different vaccines than for children 5-11 years old. Soon 0.5 million doses for this new age group will reach Poland ", we read in the minister's Twitter entry.

Yesterday, the head of the health ministry noted that from the second half of September, a decrease in the number of daily infections was observed.

"The 7-day average has decreased from 4.6 thousand to 2.2 thousand, or more than twice. As we predicted, the next wave is only possible at the turn of the year. This is the perfect time for vaccination", wrote Adam Niedzielski on social media.

Vaccination against Covid-19 started in Poland on December 27, 2020. So far, the full vaccination program has been accepted by 22.5 million people. More than 14 million people also took a booster dose. Currently, in addition to basic vaccinations, there is also a population-based vaccination with a second booster.
