Vaccines against Covid-19 for the age group from six months to 4 years have already arrived in Poland this week. - From December 12, it will be possible to register children for vaccination - announces the Minister of Health Adam Niedzielski.

The first shipment of vaccines included about half a million doses. They will make it possible to vaccinate about 168,000 children. The population of this age group is about 2 million people.

– In case of greater demand, deliveries can be supplemented. The vaccination schedule is three-dose. Two doses are given three weeks apart, and the third, additional one, eight weeks after the previous dose, explains the Minister of Health.

Vaccination points can already order the preparation. This is done in the same way as vaccines for other age groups. Only a doctor will be able to vaccinate children aged 6 months to 4 years, so the injection can only be given at points where doctors see them.

– There are about 7,000 such points in the country. E-referrals will be issued on the night of 11 to 12 December. From December 12, it will be possible to register for vaccination through Moje IKP or on the 989 hotline, or directly at the vaccination point - says Adam Niedzielski.

Vaccinations will be carried out using Comirnaty (Pfizer). Depending on your age and weight, this will be an injection in your thigh or arm.
