- New rules for the settlement of benefits, where the physiotherapist's working time with the patient is the basic factor in the valuation of rehabilitation services
- The catalog of rehabilitation procedures has been simplified, which gives the therapist greater freedom in the choice of physiotherapeutic procedures.
- As of February 1, a higher valuation of day and in-patient rehabilitation is expected.
Higher valuation of rehabilitation in a physiotherapist's office, working time of a physiotherapist as a key element of rehabilitation settlement and an announcement of a rapid increase in the prices of daily and stationary physiotherapy - calculates the National Health Fund.
Individual work with the patient is rewarded above
As emphasized by the National Health Fund, the time which the physiotherapist devotes individually to the patient is of key importance in restoring the patient to full fitness. Therefore, in line with the postulates of the physiotherapist community, the ordinance of the President of the National Health Fund introduces new rules for the settlement of benefits, where the physiotherapist's working time with the patient is the basic factor in the valuation of rehabilitation services.
Thanks to this change, the physiotherapist will be able to flexibly change the therapy so that it is best suited to the patient's health and needs, and as a result, the course of rehabilitation brings the best results.
A simpler catalog, more flexibility in the choice of treatments
The new ordinance also introduces changes to the catalog of physiotherapeutic treatments that were expected by the community of physiotherapists.
The simplified catalog of rehabilitation treatments gives the therapist greater freedom in choosing physiotherapeutic procedures. The physiotherapist is free to package the treatments in any way in order to obtain the best results of the therapy for the patient.
From February 1, higher valuation of day and stationary rehabilitation
The ordinance of the President of the National Health Fund regarding outpatient and home rehabilitation will apply from February 1, 2021. The entry into force of the ordinance means an increase in funds for outpatient and home physiotherapy by approximately PLN 213 million. This means an increase in the value of already concluded contracts and the number of settlement points. As a result, the number of contracted services will increase, and the patient will get rehabilitation faster.
February 1 this year. An increase in the price of a point in day and stationary rehabilitation is expected, as well as a flattening of the differences between the price per point in individual voivodeships, which has been postulated many times by service providers. The NHF intends to allocate an additional PLN 100 million for this task.
