- We are working together on education standards, we are building an infrastructure in the form of medical simulation centers, so that education has a very practical dimension. We want to be convinced that a student leaving the university is certainly well prepared for work, and perhaps he or she does not need an internship before specialization - emphasized Adam Niedzielski.
The head of the health ministry noted that in recent years the health care system was struggling with a generational collapse, and the rapid process of aging of the staff resulted from neglect on the part of education. The recipe for these ills is to increase enrollment in medical faculties.
- This year is a record year. We have the highest number of students since the end of the war. This gives us great hope that investing on an unprecedented scale is the best spent funds that secure our future - said Niedzielski.
In his speech, the minister referred to the comments of people expressing concerns that the increase in enrollment will affect the quality of education. In his opinion, this is a false thesis. As an argument, he pointed to the high results achieved by students of the medical faculty at the Medical University of Silesia.
