A large proportion of nurses have received increases lower than their qualifications, and the criteria for allocating funds for the implementation of the act on minimum wages for hospitals remain a mystery - according to the discussion that took place on Tuesday at the Senate Health Committee. The committee met for the second time on this issue: a month earlier, the discussion ended with a conclusion that the Ministry of Health should, in the coming weeks, present specific solutions to the problems reported by hospitals and the social side, above all - the nurses' community. Already in September, they alarmed that some directors, qualifying for index groups, do not recognize the qualifications they have, relying only on those required for a specific position.
Over PLN 3.1 billion will go to 14 hospitals treating children. Thanks to the money allocated to investments, the comfort of care for young patients is to be increased. The first competition under the Medical Fund has been adjudicated. So far, the money from the Fund has been used mainly for the treatment and saving of children's lives. A total of approximately PLN 550 million was spent, of which almost PLN 100 million was allocated by the Ministry of Health for emergency access to drug technologies.

The Silesian Center for Heart Diseases in Zabrze (SCCS) is already accepting patients in the newly opened wing of the hospital. The building houses, among others departments of cardiology, diseases of affluence and mechanical circulatory support. The expansion of the hospital was co-financed by Bank Gospodarstwa Krajowego. The official inauguration of the new part of the hospital was accompanied by a ceremonial concert organized by the BGK Foundation at the House of Music and Dance in Zabrze, entitled "My heart is a musician", during which appeared: Kamil Bednarek, Natalia Niemen, Ania Rusowicz, Krzysztof Kiljański, Danuta Błażejczyk and Monika Borzym.
