- This is a landmark ruling for all post-internship doctors. A step towards a unified line of jurisprudence, breaking the previous position of the Supreme Court towards doctors and dentists setting up a business after completing postgraduate internship," says Michal Bulsa, president of the Regional Medical Council in Szczecin. The verdict came in the second half of March before the District Court in Szczecin. The law firm Lizak, Stankiewicz, Królikowski s.c., on behalf of the Regional Medical Council, won a lawsuit over the right to pay pension and disability insurance premiums at a preferential rate by doctors and dentists who, after completing their postgraduate internship, set up a business and continue working for the same employer. As pointed out by lawyers working with the Regional Chamber of Physicians in Szczecin, the verdict proves that it is worthwhile to raise your concerns and fight for your rights.
- We want to introduce a support benefit for people with disabilities, regardless of age and income. This is up to PLN 3176.88 for those who have the greatest difficulties in functioning independently, Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki announced. Eligible for the new form of support will be people with disabilities, regardless of age and income. The support will be available regardless of other forms of support - people who are entitled to a social pension will still be able to collect it. In addition, caregivers of people with disabilities will be able to earn a nursing benefit.
MP Hanna Gill-Piątek is inquiring about the operation of dentobuses. In an interpellation addressed to the Minister of Health, she raises issues such as the real impact of the operation on children's health, the number of people using the mobile dental clinics and the total cost of the project. As part of the project, 16 dentobuses were ordered in 2017, one for each province. The cost of the purchase amounted to PLN 24 million, and the goal of the project was to treat tooth decay in children from small towns and villages who had difficult access to dental care in larger urban centers. As the author of the interpellation reminds, the implementation of the program took place from the beginning under the shadow of problems.
