For several days, the Polish public has been informed about the start of vaccination against COVID-19 with the Novavax-Nuvaxovid XBB.1.5 vaccine as of December 5, and at the same time encouraged to take advantage of effective protection against the latest mutation of the virus. There is no shortage of eager people, as evidenced, for example, by calls to clinics and vaccination centers!
Meanwhile, as early as December 6, in a message on vaccine availability, the Ministry of Health informed primary care physicians that the entire quantity of Novavax-Nuvaxovid XBB.1.5 vaccine available in RARS had been exhausted. "We will receive another supply of vaccines in the near future, of which you will be informed via PUE," the Ministry said. - This is the information family doctors have received.
- We are calling for information about the shortage of vaccines to be communicated publicly (through the media), and we also expect to provide providers with a schedule of planned vaccine deliveries. The situation of shortage of vaccines with simultaneous media coverage results in a huge number of phone calls and inquiries from patients, which hinders the day-to-day work of the facilities. Please treat the reported problem as urgent," Bozena Janicka, president of PPOZ, asks in a letter to the Health Minister.
