Starting August 1, new dosage regimens for annual prescriptions

This is to organize the dosage record on prescriptions and ensure correct and legible information. Authorized persons will issue prescriptions according to the existing dosage scheme. The issue of expanding dosage options stems from the automation process carried out by the e-Health Center.
Dosage expansion will be based on indicating information on the prescription:
- The period of use of the drug;
- quantity and unit of dose (drug);
- frequency of administration;
- number of packages;
- Optional: detailed application information for the patient.
The dosage of a drug will be able to be entered in different ways, depending on the form of the drug. Guidelines on drug intake have so far been given in aggregate and in a descriptive manner, making it impossible for ICT systems to calculate the amount of drug necessary to continue the treatment or dispensing. In addition, the period of use and method of taking the drug was rarely stated on the prescription, which contributed to different interpretations by patients (e.g., about taking the drug until the contents of the package are exhausted).
