In Facts after Facts, Izabela Leszczyna highlighted weaknesses in Poland's e-health system.
- There is plenty to do there. The previous government boasted a lot about e-prescription or e-consent. The problem I see is this: we have a lot of different IT systems that don't see each other, are not compatible," she pointed out.
- Changes are needed at the eHealth Center, including in management. We will have to approach this as a priority," the health ministry head added.
A little over a week after that conversation, Pawel Kikosicki was dismissed from his position as director of the e-Health Center. He announced his departure from CeZ in a social media post.
"First of all, we teamed up to prepare CEZ's first-ever Development Strategy for 2023-2027, which indicates the key directions of development of this very important institution for the health care system. This was a real 'kick', thanks to which CEZ knows where it is going," he wrote.
As he added, the past two years have also seen the development of, among other things, my IKP application and the Internet Patient Account itself.
Through social media, Pawel Kikosicki thanked CeZ staff for their cooperation, but also former Health Minister Adam Niedzielski, clinicians, medical professionals and cooperating institutions.
