The Patient Ombudsman and the director of the Center for Monitoring Quality in Health Care inaugurated in Gdansk a social campaign called "Demand Quality," aimed at patients.

- The goal of the "Demand Quality" campaign is to mobilize patients to consciously demand the highest healthcare services. Every patient has the right to medical services of the highest quality, and our initiative aims to support this right by promoting transparency and evaluation of the quality of medical services," emphasizes Patient Ombudsman Bartlomiej Chmielowiec.
As Agnieszka Pietraszewska-Macheta, director of the Center for Monitoring Quality in Health Care, adds, out of 900 hospitals in Poland, only 200 are accredited today.
- It's not enough. There needs to be more of it. We want patients to put pressure on hospitals to demand quality. That's why we are launching the "Demand Quality" social campaign. Because quality, we patients deserve," points out Agnieszka Pietraszewska-Macheta.
As of January 1, 2024, most of the provisions on quality in health care and patient safety will go into effect. The goal of the law is to implement legal and organizational solutions that will implement health policy priorities in the area of health care quality in a comprehensive and coordinated manner.
