Aleksandra Rudnicka, spokesman for the Sanitas association:
- Events such as the "Rally for Health" have a tremendous therapeutic and educational effect.
- Movement is a drug, but it must be properly dosed and adapted to the patient.
- "Rajd for Health" is an opportunity to integrate the community of doctors, patients and supporting families.
- Cancer patients are becoming more and more aware of the beneficial effects of exercise, sometimes people who are physically inactive before falling ill, start to play sports after a cancer diagnosis.
- In the treatment of myeloma, we have made up a lot compared to Western Europe. There are drugs that affect bone changes, there is already a drug that can be used in patients with impaired kidney function.
- Myeloma has fewer pharmacological challenges, but changes to the system are needed - coordinated care.
- The problem of hematooncology is the lack of places in hospitals. Here, an amendment to the act on transfusion medicine is needed so that transfusions can take place on an outpatient basis.
