For years, the Foundation has been educating both in the field of disease and patient rights. The Patient Academy will be the last opportunity this year to summarize achievements and challenges in the field of myeloma, available therapeutic and diagnostic options. Experts will share the latest knowledge with the participants of the event. During the conference, the report "Treatment of multiple myeloma in Poland - disease, patient, system" will be presented.
During the event, there will be lectures and discussions between outstanding specialists, including: prof. Lydia Gil, prof. Krzysztof Giannopoulos, Dr. Dominik Dytfeld and Krzysztof Łanda, former Deputy Minister of Health. The special guest of the conference will be Maciej Miłkowski, Undersecretary of State in the Ministry of Health.
"The end of the year is the best time to take stock, especially when the last decisions this year affecting the treatment options for patients with multiple myeloma are being made. We want to refer to the many positive changes introduced this year for our patients and discuss the most urgent unsatisfied medical needs of patients suffering from myeloma,” says Łukasz Rokicki, President of the Carita Foundation.
During the event, facilities for participants will be provided, a specialized telemedicine stand equipped with measuring equipment will be available on site, which will allow you to transform the conference room into a professional medical office. Participants of the Academy will be able to perform basic diagnostic tests.
Participation in the event is possible both stationary and on-line. Registration is available at the following link: https://hematoonkologia.pl/webinary-dla-chorych/93-akademia-pacjenta .
