The event will be held on April 15 at NIKard headquarters (42 Alpine Street, Warsaw-Anin).

The scientific program of this year's event promises to be extremely interesting. It will cover, among others, modern areas of cardiology such as the treatment of cardiac arrhythmias, heart failure - from pharmacotherapy to transplantation, and the treatment of coronary artery disease and valvular defects. There will also be topics on modern diagnostic imaging in cardiology, and NIKard specialists will share with participants their experience in robotics and medical simulation.

Also scheduled for the day is a session dedicated to answering key questions posed by PCPs and cardiologists about the National Cardiovascular Network and the implementation of the National Cardiovascular Disease Program (NCHP) - tasks carried out by NIKard as a National Research Institute.

It doesn't stop there, however. The program will also include sessions on epidemiology and pharmacotherapy of cardiovascular diseases, as well as elements of clinical genetics. A new feature will be a session on vascular surgery and intervention in the treatment of aortic and peripheral vascular pathology.

- When organizing this event, we place special emphasis on the practical dimension of the planned thematic sessions. We will make every effort to ensure that participation in this meeting will provide participants with a solid dose of knowledge on the latest trends and directions in the development of Polish cardiology. You are cordially invited to participate in this event. I encourage you to have many inspiring conversations and exchange common experiences," said Professor Lukasz Szumowski, director of the National Institute of Cardiology.

This is the Institute's first Symposium to be held in a hybrid format. For the duration of the COVID-19 pandemic, the event was organized exclusively in an online format.
