XIX Patient Organization Forum - patients at the center of health discussions
Published Dec. 16, 2024 10:04
Initiated in 2007 by the Institute for Patients' Rights and Health Education, the Patients' Organizations Forum brings together the leaders of more than 150 organizations that represent tens of thousands of patients from different regions of Poland and operate in a wide range of therapeutic areas. The event is also open to online participants, allowing it to reach an even wider audience. The Forum plays a key role as a platform for dialogue and exchange of experiences. It is a space where representatives of patient organizations can discuss common challenges, establish cooperation and propose systemic solutions to improve the quality of life of patients.
Debates with policymakers and key lessons for the health system
Central to the event are meetings and discussions with the most important decision-makers shaping health policy in Poland. The Forum annually hosts, among others, the Minister of Health, the President of the National Health Fund, the Ombudsman for Patients' Rights and prominent public health experts. The participation of these individuals not only underscores the importance of the event, but also allows leaders of patient organizations to directly present their demands and point out the problems they face in their daily activities.
Patients together for better healthcare
The Forum of Patient Organizations is not only a place to exchange knowledge and experience, but also an opportunity to strengthen cooperation between diverse organizations working on behalf of patients. Thanks to its scale and tradition, the event has become a symbol of the unity of the patient community and its effectiveness in advocating for their rights and improving the quality of health care.
We invite you to participate in this remarkable event - both in person and online. The voice of patients matters, and the 19th Forum of Patient Organizations is another step on the road to a better health care system in Poland.
