- The fact that the baby is in such good shape is thanks to the whole team and the brave mother who came to see Sarah in the ward every day," says Barbara Michalczyk, MD, specialist in pediatrics, neonatology and pediatric neurology, head of the Neonatal Unit with the Neonatal Intensive Care Subdivision of the Gorzow hospital.
- There would not have been this miracle if not for the wonderful team of the Obstetrics and Gynecology Department with Dr. Krzysztof Kaczmarek, who took immediate action," stresses Kinga Golumska, Sara's mother.
For 100 days the girl remained under the care of doctors until she could finally be discharged home. Little Sara does not have any complications that could result from such a high prematurity. However, she must be protected from any infections and continue to be under the care of specialists.
On June 30, meanwhile, Karinka, born in the same hospital, celebrated her first birthday. The girl was also born in the 28th week of pregnancy and, like Sara, weighed exactly 560 g.
